SLAZENGER men's 1sts were unable to recover from a slow start as they lost 7-2 to Yorkshire League Division 1 high-fliers Driffield
Defensive mistakes gifted Driffield with two goals in the opening 10 minutes before Paul Wiper reduced the arrears.

Driffield scored a third only for Ben Graham to net Slazenger's second but the visitors ended the first half on top and restored their two-goal advantage just before the break.

The Horbury team played well early in the second half but Driffield regained control of the game and netted three more.

Skipper Will Buckley was voted Slazenger's man of the match.
